Formal Deity (2010 - ) is the title given to a reoccurring set of themes I return to so as to develop drawing technique, scale and method alongside testing new materials and tools. Where these works intersect with other projects, series develop on from the collection, yet the majority originate independently. Commonly, it is a step outside my norm through classical art histories and incorporation of sexuality and physical/spiritual idealisation as themes that dominate.
